Jane Zweig, Chair and CEO

Ms. Jane Zweig is Chair and Chief Executive Officer and sole owner of The Shosteck Group as of October, 2007. Jane joined the firm in 1989. She focuses on new business development, researching and developing new story lines, working with clients, presenting at workshops and conferences around the globe, and day-to-day operations of the firm. Jane brings a unique combination of vision, industry contacts at the most senior levels, marketing, people-skills, and industry knowledge to the firm.

Jane received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology in 1975 from The George Washington University. From 1975 – 1981, Jane served on the legislative staff of a United States Senator. This experience provided Jane with a political background to allow her to see beyond technologies and into a political realm which often determines technology and market choices.

Special honors: In November, 2000, Ms. Zweig was elected as a Fellow of the Radio Club of America and in March, 2001 Ms. Zweig was selected by Wireless Week as one of the Influential Women in Wireless. In 2002, Ms. Zweig was included in Rutberg and Company’s Wireless Influencers, 2002 list.

In April, 2007, Jane was appointed as an Executive Advisor to Cartagena Capital, an international technology corporate finance firm based in Munich, Germany with presence in the UK, France, Finland, the Netherlands, the US and Singapore. Leveraging its international presence, Cartagena Capital offers its services to small and medium-sized companies and to global leaders as well as to venture capital and private equity firms. Cartagena has particular expertise in the wireless industry. Cartagena Capital is an independent partnership and does not underwrite any public offerings — providing unbiased advice to its clients.
